THE EMPTY
BOWLS PROJECT
collateral
The Empty Bowls Project is an international project created to fight hunger. Joliet Junior College hosted this fundraising event personalized by artists and art organizations on a community level. Members of the community were invited to donate their time by creating ceramic bowls on several different days on the campus. The community was then invited to lunch where they would purchase their meal in one of the hand-crafted bowls. All proceeds from the event benefited the Joliet Junior College Student Emergency Fund. The school relied on the these pieces of collateral to provide information and communication with the public. A poster was created to be placed throughout campus providing information regarding the bowl making events. Simultaneously a digital version was broadcast throughout the campus on all digital displays. The final poster and digital piece advertising the lunch event was then distributed throughout the school’s campus.
